John Bisnar
As the founding partner of Bisnar & Chase, John Bisnar is the firm’s visionary, the creator of the firm’s identity, purpose and mission. John is the wizard who blends and inspires talented individuals into a cohesive, synchronized team of professionals focused on the firm’s mission. John is a man of integrity and depth, a seeker of wisdom and justice. He enjoys life, its challenges and its beauty.

A native of Southern California, John served his country while on active duty in the US Army in the Pacific and South East Asia from 1968 to 1970. He graduated cum laude from California State University, Long Beach, with a B.S. Degree in Finance/Investments in 1974. John was on the Dean's List every semester. In 1978 John received his J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law. Later he graduated from Pepperdine University College of Trial Advocacy. John was admitted to the California State Bar in July 1978. He was the first person on either side of his family to graduate from college.

The law firm of Bisnar & Associates was founded in 1978 and thus began the career of victories and milestones that John would create. John began Judge Pro-Tem work in the California State Courts in 1984. He won his first Million Dollar case in 1986. He is responsible for over $85 Million in recoveries and benefits for his clients.

The law firm of Bisnar & Chase evolved out of Bisnar & Associates when Brian Chase completed his metamorphoses from law clerk to Litigation Team Leader and partner in 1998. John is now responsible for the administration of the law firm, its client care and development programs as well as settlements negotiations. Mr. Chase is in charge of all litigation, legal activism and firm political activities.

In 1996 The United Way of Orange County, California named John a “Community Hero” for his extensive community service. Also in 1996 he was chosen as an Olympic Torch carrier. The Olympic Torch that he carried is proudly displayed in his office.

Today, John continues to positively contribute to his community and colleagues. He is a certified leader and workshop facilitator with The ManKind Project (http://www.mkp.org), an international organization committed to the initiation, training, and healing of men. The organization teaches interpersonal relationship skills in an interactive workshop environment. John credits the ManKind Project with making available to him the tools and environment for some of his greatest personal growth. In return has devoted hundreds of hours of volunteer time to the organization in order to pass on the gifts that he received to the "next man".

John has lectured at local colleges and universities and regularly gives classes and lectures on the causes, effects and recovery from childhood abuse. From his background of studying, developing and exercising methods of communication and experiencing many aspects of human behavior, John teaches how to build interpersonal relationship skills as well as how to negotiate - valuable and unique assets for an attorney in his field.

John is a former member of the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees of various businesses, non-profit and religious organizations.

John is a devoted father and husband. In addition to his thriving practice, he is committed to his wife Kimberly and three adult children. When he finally reaches Antarctica (winter 2006) he will have traveled on each of the seven continents. John makes his personal well being a priority in order to be the best he can be and inspire those around him. He is an avid scuba diver, organic gardener and world traveler as well as a meditation and yoga practitioner.
